Should I Be Worried That This Is Herpes? Posted: 08-28-07 21:57pm
Just an hour or so ago I discovered what
seems to be a pimple on the shaft of my
penis. I haven't had any other symptoms
other than that(including fever,
headaches, etc) and it is not itchy at
all. It is a bit painful if pressure is
put on it, similar to pimples around/in
the nostril area(which I have had many
times) and looks like a pimple.
I have had terrible acne with large pus
filled pimples for the past few years,
ocassionally getting them in unusual
places such as my arms, chest, lower back
and butt cheecks but mostly getting them
on my shoulders and face. So I would
normally just write this off as another
pimple except that I am kinda paranoid
about getting an STD.
I've always used a condom, had only two
sexual partners, and my last sexual
activity was July 14th.

condoms dont always stop you from getting
herpes.
is there more then one "pimple" ..herpes
is more like blisters and theres usually
alot.. id go get it checked out because
the doctor cant diagnose it unless its
fresh and like wet..
but ive had things down there that looked
like herpes but it wasnt.. it was a
medical reaction from the medication i was
on

blister I've ever had.

go to a doctor because yep it could be an
std
you need to be checked just to make sure

Do you mind telling us what that
medication was and what the similarities
or differences to herpes symptoms you saw.

it was right after i got my tonsils taken
out.
i was on codine, and another medication
for that (sorry i forgot the name of it)
and i was mixing those with my medication
for the UTI i had. (once i find the
bottles ill post the type of pills they
were)
long story short.. i ended up getting lots
of blisters down there.. i went to my
docter and was tested and they werent
herpes he said they were just from an
allergic reaction i guess.
either way they hurt like hell when they
popped and i could barely move..
the good thing about it was my boyfriend
couldnt have sex for over 2 weeks haha
