Hello all I am new to this site and wanted some feedback from anyone suffering anxiety. Basically I have had panic attacks GAD for 10 years now and at first it was come and go now it is ever single minute of every single day and I can not take it anymore. I have had breaks with it through two past pregnancies and although I am pregnant again it will not go away. I can NEVER breath and always feel like I am smothering to death. My jaw/arm and chest always hurt and I feel like no one will listen to me. I have been diagnosed with anxiety for the past 9 of these 10 years and feel like the Dr's are nott aking the time to hear me. My heart constantly races. skips and tumbles and yet they say it is nothing. I can not get an EKG out of these ppl and they said the shortness of breath was hyperventilation syndrome. Everyday I have new symptoms and can not live my life anymore like this. If I didn't have anxiety my life would be perfect. My husband makes great money my kids are very well behaved and loving and my family is supportive. I have no insurance (until I have the baby since its classified pre-exsisting and I can't get a new policy) so I can't just run to the ER and suffer here in silence because everyone I know is sick of listening to me complain. After 10 years I don't blame them. I have wasted thousands on help programs and therapist out of my own pocket. I am not a martyr I want to be rid of this. I went to med school so I am not uneducated about anxiety at all. I really need some help because I want to be happy. Any advice/suggestions are much appreciated.

Hi
Please look up hyperventilation syndrome. WHen you get short of breath try and fight it. You will find this will help you loads. Try and breath normally. Its worth a try.
