I Don't Know... Posted: 08-28-07 13:26pm
I'm 16 years old, about 5'6 and at my last
doctors appointment I weighted (we dont
post weights, it can trigger those in
recovery) pounds.. which was a little
higher than usual. He said that I needed
to gain some weight, like he says at every
appointment. Not long after, my weight
dropped back to where it was before, (no
weights please).
Last night I noticed that my ribs were
showing a lot. I didn't really check into
it or anything. But then today someone
asked if I was anorexic.. so I got on the
scale and I dropped down to (no weights
please) pounds.
Also I've been feeling a little light
headed and weak. This morning I had
trouble standing because my eyes were
blacking out. It went away after a couple
minutes though. I really need to put back
on the weight... and it's not like I don't
eat.. I eat a lot. Any advice?

1st of all welcome to ehealth! Did your dr
run any blood tests on you? I have a
friend of mine that is the same way and
what helps her is that she goes to a
health food store and gets some of these
mixes that you can mix with milk and you
can even make them up like a milk shake by
adding ice cream to them. They are called
weight-on, other companies may have
another name for them, just ask one of the
employees, it seems to help her and she
also got a physical and found out she was
slightly hyper-active and slightly anemic.
Good Luck! Keep us posted.

Thanks for the welcome!!
No, my doctor didn't do any blood tests.
I havn't been under 100 lbs since I was
younger. I just lost it really fast too.
At my last physical he asked me if I
thought I was fat like I'm starving myself
or something but I wouldn't do that.
