Vaginal Spotting... Am I Pregnant? Posted: 08-28-07 11:44am
alright i dont really keep track when my
period starts and ends because... im not
on birth control... and my long time
boyfriend and i dont have sex all the time
but we try to use condoms when they are
available... i know i should be using some
kind of birth control but we have been
using the (pull out methiod) stupid of me
i know... anyways my period ended i think
around the 17th... and it is now the 28th
but yesterday on the 27 i had a very light
but a vaginal spotting for sure. its not
here today but i have been reading up on
it and... i know its not my period. and i
also get checked all the time is somthing
wrong with me or could i just be plain ol
prego?

The pull-out method is very unreliable and
is not really considered a form of
birth-control because it fails all the
time. Since you are already lat you can
take a pregnancy test at home to see if
you are pregnant. If you are not I would
try and get on birth control or at least
use condoms from now on.

well im not late yet.. thats what i mean
its not even around the time my period
should start... and i called the doc but
they cant get me in till next week. but i
made an app. and i will be on birth
control by then. but the question in the
back of my head is because of my vaginal
spotting could i still be pregnant... i
read its like 10 days after conception and
around your ovulation time. which its sort
of around after your period? right?...

You ovulate around 14 days before you
period and about 10 days after that
implantation occurs.

If you have a normal 28 day cycle then
most likely what you experienced was
ovulation bleeding. It would be way to
soon for implantation bleeding if your
regular period just ended on the 17th.
Some women get ovulation bleeding but most
do not. Some women experience cramping
during ovulation but some do not. Each
person is different. I would wait until
you are late for your period to test but
it would be to early right now.
