My Wrist/hand click with pain Posted: 08-27-07 22:43pm
im only 20. well my wrist/hand is messed
up or something. i work at a restaurant so
for a while i thought my wrist/hand was
aching because of carrying heavy plates
and stuff all day but about a month had
passed and id figured it would go away but
it hasnt. ive only been working there 2
years only in the summer
first off, when i put my hands together,
palm to palm, every finger lays against
each other, but my left index finger, its
bent back, its not extremely bad but you
can see how its bent backward and its not
straight. thats only visual thing i can
see about it. when i move my hand up and
down i can feel a click on the back side
of my hand, if you follow your index
finger till you reach your wrist, thats
where it is. its hard so i think its a
bone or something i dunno. i also
experience 2 more pains. the second, palm
side of my hand if you follow your thumb
to where your wrist meets, it hurts there.
and on the palm side where your index
finger meets your palm, it hurts there.
other than that i get aching when i carry
stuff with it. its not THAT bad i still
carry stuff with it, its just that
annoying ache where you know something
probably isnt right.
anyway, what would you people think it is.
nothing, a sprained wrist, a pulled
tendon, or do you think i could have
broken a bone or something? i wouldnt
think so since i can move everything and
theres no bruise. thanks!
edit: oh and when i lean on it for about
half a minute, it goes numb. seems kinda
fast

Might be arthritis ...
Can you see a rheumatologist? do you have
insurance?

To be sure, you could see an orthopedist
or physical therapist, or even a massage
therapist ... someone with a deep
knowledge of the muscles and fibres of the
hand.
