Hi, I'm a 20 year old female, I'd say I'm quite fit and generally pretty healthy. The only thing is I always have a fast heart rate. My heart rate as measured by a doctor was between 90-100 at resting. I don't feel uncomfortable, or have palpatations or breathlessness.Especially when I'm in a hot shower, feeling relaxed my heart rate seems to be very high... When I excercise it goes a bit higher but I don't puff and I recover very quickly. Is this anything to worry about bc my doctor said it's probably ok but gave me a referral to a cardiologist if I want it :s Also I have no history of heart problems in my family on either side, and I know my dad's heart was a little faster than normal too.
