Hi! im 25 yrs old. Last week, i noticed blood in my stool, it was bright red, and i think the blood is not in the stool itself. it was sunday, monday and tuesday, it went off spontanieously from wednesday, until today, monday, it happened again. I am scared that I might have colon cancer. I don't have a family history of cancer. But i'm still afraid, especially now that I am a new mom... Please help.

Hi
Hi there, you could very well have an internal hemorrhoid, a tear in the wall ,fissure, or an external hemorrhoid, among other things. Bright red blood is usually a good sign, its the dark black colored blood that is worrisome. Our family has a history of colon cancer, so we know what to look for. Are you drinking enough water and getting fiber into your diet? I drink at least 2 quarts of water a day and load up on fruits and veges. Are you ahving any pain? Feel free to PM if you'd feel more comfortable, I'll share what I do know! Sounds like a temp thing to me though... Laughing
