ok just got back from hospital and got the kids settled to bed. i'll let you know what happened.

bascially i was round my mums house and she suddenly said 'oh my god i think my waters have broken cause i feel really wet down there' she went to the toilet to check and was bleeding heavily. she freaked and i thought 'sh*t i've got to hold it together cause i had courtney and the kids there and robbie is away so we were all alone'

i got her to lay down on the bed then i took the kids downstairs and put shrek on for them to keep them occupied. my little sister was terrified cause she had seen mum bleeding but i told her everything would be ok and to just watch shrek.

as soon as i got upstairs i dialled 999 and as i turned round to look at mum she had fainted. i was seriously scared as there was blood all over. i shook her awake and tried to get her to stay with me but she kept drifting in and out or conciousness.

while i was waiting for the ambulance i rang neil and got him to pick up the kids lcukily he was at his house which is 5 mins away then we went to hosiptal. they gave her injections to try and stop the bleeding and eventually asked me to sign consent for a hysterectomy to save her life. i was so scared. i thought my mum would die there and then

they did it and told me the outlook wa good. she took quite a while to come round and it was so hard for me to tell her what has happened. the nurse made it alot easier by explaining to us that the pregnancy wasn't 'viable' anyway so we shoudln't look at it as losing a child but as saving mums life.

she is currently on bed rest to recover. i haven't slept for 4 days but i managed to get robbie back from filming so that he could mind the kids and i could stay with mum. unfortunately he had to go back today or we would of lost £600 but i am looking after my little sister while mum is in hospital. it was hard today though as the kids got bored and were playing up so i had to leave and i felt so bad leaving my mum there alone in hospital.

tomorrow i am visiting again after dinner and i'm hoping in the next few days they are going to discharge her. i am glad she is resting there though as i don't know how i would look after her and the kids.

sorry for the long post but it feels good to talk about it here

thanks x

Thank God you were at her house when all this happened. It sounds like you handled things really well, and I'm so glad she's doing better. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

i know i'm glad too. it's just bad that the kids were there so courtney had to see it. it was also terrifying cause i was on my own and didn't know what to do. the wait for the ambulance seemed the longest of my life

at least the kids are young, so they'll probably forget about what happened. just try and be there for your mum as much as possible

I am glad that she is doing better. I think that I would've flipped had I been in that situation.

I know that the hysterectomy saved her life but I would've been devastated had that happened to me. I will keep her in my prayers. I heard that it can be emotionally difficult to recover from one.

I'm so sorry, Becks! I'm glad your mother survived this, though. She must be a strong woman! And she's blessed to have a strong daughter that was able to keep it together and be strong for her.

We're here for you.

Becks, I told you last week what a strong woman you were, this only goes to prove you came from a long line of them. So very proud of the way you handled the situation and also very happy and grateful your Mother will be good as new very soon. Hugs to you girlfriend! Hang in there you're one tough cookie! Laughing

thanks girls. she' doing alot better today. she has somehow managed to slip a disc in her back too so she is in alot of pain from that Sad

they gave her crutches and she walked to the toilet unaided so i was very proud of her. she should be home tomorrow once the haemotologist sees her and then she'll be referred as an outpatient

She's one tough cookie too!~ So very happy to hear of her quick recovery. Hope her legs are doing better, at least she is getting some form of exercise using her crutches. She does need to take it easy and be extra careful. She does realize she has such a special daughter doesn't she? If you were my daughter I'd be mighty PROUD! HUGS! Laughing
