Q: I Am Going to Crack-long And Radom

OK it has been 6 weeks since my best friend ran off and got married to her ex. A week after she was living with my brother. I am over the anger of what she did, now I am in the depression part. The way i look at it, she basically died. She had lied to me for so so long, I know she is not the same person I thought was my friend. that person doesn't exist anymore, and it is so so hard for me. She was my touchstone. She knew all of my secrets and I thought she shared her with me. She was there for me when i had trouble, onflict, etc. She was ther to listen and sometimes offer a kind word. She was like my sister. Now it seems like I have nobody left and it is really killing me. I am despondent, lonely and I feel like I am going to crack. My 14 month old has been super cranky and I just don't have any patience for her. I feel so terrible. I had lunch with my 5 year old the other day and I thought to myself "gosh this was so much easier before Hannah came along." Then I felt like a monster for even thinking it. I had to go into the bathroom and bawl for like 5 minutes. My cat got eaten a few weeks ago, my turtle ran away, I put my dog to sleep after christmas and my other best friend left for the Peace Corps in June. I went back on my medication, but it just doesn't seem to be doing the trick so well. I even went to my acupuncturist last week, and it really helped for about a week, not I feel almost like I am back at square 1. Panic attacks, afraid to be alone with my children, etc. I am completely wound. Thanks for listening, I just don't know who else I can share this with ritght now.

I am really sorry you are feeling this way. It sounds like you are grieving over the loss of your best friend and rightfully so. I think one day she will know the mistake she has made and she'll be lucky to be able to crawl back and have you back in her life, that is if you choose to forgive her.
I remember you saying your cat was missing. Are you sure she was eaten, or could she have lost her way or gone on a walk about? My cat does that from time to time. He'll be gone for a month. The first time he did it I too thought he was probably gone for good. Low and behold there he was.
I had my dog put to sleep a few years back and I still get weepy when I go through pictures or see someone with a dog like her. She was a great friend. Better than any human friend has ever been.
I didn't know your turtle ran away. Was he an outdoor pet?
You are certainly no monster for thinking things were easier before the baby came along. You hold your children in high regards and it shows with how you speak of them here.
How long have you been on the meds? Do they need time to get into your system?
Girl, you need a calgon moment and a stiff toddy!

*HUGS TO YOU*

Im so sorry that you are going through this right now. Unfortunately as the saying goes when it rains it pours. I hope you have better days ahead and you can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I also had a best friend that "turned" on me while in college. It was one of the most painful things I have ever had to go through. But everything happens for a reason and if you believe that then life will go on and will be better down the road than what you have already been through.

Keep your chin up girlie....better days are guaranteed to come Very Happy

I am sorry what you are going through! sometimes we learn who our friends are the hard way. Maybe your Dr. needs to adjust your meds and you can always go back to the acupuncturist more then once, sometimes it takes a few times to get things worked out and like Mommy 35 said if you have just started back on your meds it may take time for them to kick in. You are a good mom and don't think you aren't! I know that each time we lose our animals it seems like a part of us goes with them. Life has a lot of hurtles that we have to get over and there are times that it is very difficult to get over them, I know this very well. You are not alone, I am here for you, I wished we lived closer. You really seem like such a good person!

You are a good person with a good heart, so Im sure you will be able to move on to bigger and better things.
