Q: Possible Worm In Stool. Urgent?

I noticed last night that there was a long, slender, flat, white/beige thing with a line down the middle in my stool, I couldn't think of anything that it could be other than a worm. Back in February, I was seeing a GI doctor for stomach problems and they ran a stool test. They couldn't find anything. I also had a colonoscopy done which didn't find anything, and an upper GI/small bowel tests which found a small ulcer, GERD, and a hiatal hernia. I've battled stomach problems all my life. I've recently made another appointment with my GI doctor for September the 10th. If this was a worm, should I see someone urgently or can I wait until the 10th? What other possibilities could it be?

Thank you in advance,
Crystal

If it is a parasite it could be causing the stomach problems that you stated. Parasites come in different shapes and sizes and some aren't detectable by testing.
You can also consult with a naturopath who will help you with your situation in checking what you're eating and adjusting your diet to help you. More than likely the naturopath will recommend a cleanse to eliminate any parasites. A great cleanse that I am using each year is colonix by drnatura. You can check out their site for more information about parasites and the side effects etc.
Go to your doctor - if you don't get answers go seek out a naturopath.
Good luck - keep us posted on your progress.
