I am 30 years male and from last 6 years I have this problem. I dont have normal digestion. Whenever I eat I feel cramps and lots of gases which sometimes passes without i know they will pass and sometimes they stinks and I get this situation when i travel so I dont travel at all. I cant pass my bowl. after meals i take a cup of tea and smoke a cigeratte only then i can pass the bowl. I am too much desperate of this. I try to get medical treatment many times but no result at all. This problem just put me in a dark corner. From last 6 years its not getting better or worsening. There are many alternative ways to resolve medical conditions. What has helped me was seeking advice from a wonderful naturopathic doctor and also incorporating a great cleanse by drnatura called colonix. The naturopathic doctor found that I was allergic to allot of the foods that I was eating. Once I changed my diet and incorporated the cleansing program my health improved dramatically. Keep us posted on your progress and what you did to change your results. Good Luck!

I too have a similar problem , when i am not having regular Bm i drink two full glasses of water after dinner . and 2 glasses of water when i wake up first thing in the morning . Now regarding Smoking a cigarrete to get the push , you can try this alternative , just hold your hand to the mouth like you are holding a cigarrette and draw air , just draw in air , it will have the same effect .

Indigestion causes smelly flatulance , (if possible try avoiding meat , eggs , fish , milk , chesse , beans , biscuits , apples ) .
you can take a dose of antibiotic Ampicillin 250 mg for 5 days 2 tabs each day one in morning and one in night . This will fix any overgrowth of bacteria in the gut . ( This is not permanent ) bacteria will grow back if you have a digestive enzyme shortage or if the small intestine is not efficient in absorbing food . you can try pancreatic enzyme tablets ( they have a side effect from prolonged use ) .

unpleasant pungant flatulence
people who i work with hate me for it and blindly accuse me of being sick and suggest i have a problem... BUT (and a very big 'BUT')....i'am a very lean 170lb 6ft 21 year old male, and believe/consider myself to be VERY healthy... i excercise regularly (at least 5 times / week), eat gingerly (4-6 very square meals per day) and have very regular bowl movements, never suffered any illness or have any pre-existing conditions. i've also departed with all my destructive vices 6 months ago... however, since my reformation my intestinal gas has become rather repulsive to some people, i'm convinced it's healthy and pride myself of it (kind of weird i know) ,because, i've read that it signifies a "sulfur rich diet" ??? ... moreoever i'm hoping someone with a more knowledge can shed some light on my situation and perhaps tell me if what i'm doing is good, bad, or in between???
