A few months ago i had mono. After that i started getting small red spots- look like someone took a red pen and just poked me with it. Anyway, i have one on my top of my hand, 3-4 on my arm (randomly), one on my left arm and one on my leg and foot. I am not sure what they are and I'm incredibly worried. I also have a white coat on the back of my tongue which could be a result of a lot of things. I am 22, and I'm 110-115 lbs depending on the day, I've been skinny my whole life, (hit 100lbs in 10th grade). Does this sound like anything?

That was an incredibly insightful comment, young Girl. I bet HelpMePlease11 was very relieved to find out that his/her mono hadn't progressed to HIV. Also, do Texans generally spell teeth "teethe?" I should keep that in mind in case I visit your splendid state one day.

Cobes, people like you need to sort out your deeply supressed issues in real life as opposed to telling off strangers on medical forums. Youre the one posting on here not giving advice to the oringinal question, not Ehealthy.
Anyway, HelpMePlease, as always, the best thing to do is bring this all up with your doctor, and do try brushing your tounge hard with a toothbrush. Scrape away the bacteria on it. I also have mono right now (second time) and am getting the white tounge too. I scrub it with my toothbrush and it's good for a couple of days. As well. mono can cause skin rashes and irratation. If you are genuinely concerned make an appointment at your doctor's office, but don't be too scared, it is most likely a result of the mono. Smile Good luck, I hope you feel better soon!!!

Hi Helpmeplease

Well wether it is realted or not to the mono I cannot say but white tounge and small spots (rash/irritation) on the skin can all be a sign of an overgrowing of yeast in the intestine, other symptoms can include cravings for sugar and starch, headaches, extreme tiredness as well as other yeast realted problems such as candida (fungal infections)..

Brushing your tongue will do absoutedly nothing except clean it and not rid it of anything the white will always grow back!! Stay away from sguary foods and alcohol and try taking a prdcut that helps elimate yeast (natural remedy from health food shops) such as Threelac or Xtralac there are other products available but you will have to do some research and asking around about them.

Good luck
