Q: Ectopic??

I am around 5 weeks pregnant and have some light spotting (brown not red in color) on and off. No cramping. I was told light spotting can be a sign of an ectopic which makes me worried so much!

I had a blood test to confirmed my pregnant and it was positive. My HCG levels did double in 48 hours. Can an ectopic pregnancy still happen if the HCG level have double? I am scared!!
