Recently, for no apparent reason, I suffered first from a "knot" in the back muscles (left upper). The pain spread to my shoulders and to my left chest. Also sudden weakness in the left tricep and slight numbness in my forefinger. It lasted about 2 weaks, the pain being relieved by anti- inflamatories and strong pain killers. The weakness in the tricep remains although there is slight improvement. The pain was so severe that I could not sleep without the use of muscle relaxants and the pain killers. I am a power athlete and the weakness seams to be limited to just one head of the tricep, namely the one that takes care of upward pressing movements, also pushing movement. I believe tha left pectoralis also is affected. I had an mri of the neck and a brain cat scan and these appear to be normal, except for a possible slight restriction between c6 and c7. I am worried about the cardiac side of the matter. I do not get any pain even from over excersion, but sometimes still a nagging ache in the left chest.
I am a worried man and the uncertainty is upsetting me!
Many thanks
david
