Jbaby love- 15 simple unexpected joys of becoming a parent j

your no longer embarrassed by your signing voice
you feel truly powerful. After bringing a baby into the world, you realize you are much stronger physically and emotionally than you ever thought possible. Now when you read about a mom lifting a car off her child’s body with her bare hands, you think. “no big deal I could do that, I would do that!”
at night you and your spouse pillow-talk endlessly about all the amazing things your kid did that dya
you get to see what a great parents your husband/boyfriend is. You suspected all along that he’d be a natural as a dad- now it’s confirmed.
every baby milestone gives you a sense of accomplishment. When she outgrows her clothes, you know its because you’ve fed her well. When she finally sleeps through the night, its because you taught her how. Whens he smiles at people, you know its because you’re always smiling at her. Every compliment she gets is really a compliment to you.
being a parent gives you a new social life. Sharing a park bench with another mom is al the common ground you need to arrange a coffee date.
you stop wasting time on things that don’t matter
rituals, traditions, and holidays suddenly mean more. On halloween, you can’t wait to dress up your baby as a little pumpkin. On thanksgiving, it’s essential that the whole family is together.
being a parent triples your tolerance
you feel more accountable to the universe. You cut down on bad habits. You curd your road rage. You look at little white lies differently. You even start recyling, knowing that you need to save the earth for your child- and his child- to enjoy!
you quit being a control freak, because your ealize that no matter how much you plan, life with a baby just doesn’t conform to a schedule.
you start to reflect on what you want to leave behind in this world
when you go to the mall, you know all the cool clothes will fit- your baby, that is. Wouldn’t it be great if our clothes were sized the way theirs are? Just look for the tag that says 18 year old girl!!
you never need an excuse for a nap
the magnitude of what your own parents have done for you finally sinks in, and you forgive them for everything they didn’t do right. They must have been doing the best they could, just as you are right now!!
