I'm a 46 yr old male. I was diagnosed with
a B12 deficiency last November and put on
B12 injections. I received weekly
injections for a month and have since been
getting monthly injections. When I
started, my wbc was 3.3, my rdw 15.4, my
platelet count 127, my absolute
lymphocytes 380. I just had blood work
from my regular physician (not the
hematologist) and my counts are as
follows: wbc 2.6, rdw 15.6, platelets 130,
absolute lymphs 0.4 (different lab).
Obviously, my B12 injections aren't
solving the problem. I'm due to see my
hematologist in early Sept. What could be
the possible causes of my lower white
count? What does this point to?
