Q: Should I Get Tested?

Recently my boyfriend split up with me, for no apparent reason. We were together for 6 1/2 years.
On a visit to my Family planning yesterday, the woman suggested STI checks, which i agreed to and she also asked if i wanted to be checked for HIV. I had never thought about it. I told her i'd think about it and get back to her.
We both were sexually active before we met each other, but didn't sleep with anyone else when we were together.
Should i have the test done? I dont know what to do?
