Q: Teeth Question
asked by: AyaMiyaki on August 21st, 2007

Alyvia has her two top teeth coming in at the same time. They're about a third of the way out or so.

And she grinds them.

Is there any way to make her stop? It's driving us nuts. I don't want it to become a habit for her, and I'm nervous that she's going to chip a tooth or something.

Ethan did the same thing for a while, and I absolutely hated it. It is one of the nastiest noises in the world. I asked him doctor about it and he said it is normal. She will stop doing it after a while. Very Happy

Adriana did that.........talk about nails on a chalkboard, eeeeeeek! She did eventually quit tho, and like Sam said it's normal. It's something new she has to check out first, and then she'll forget about it (hopefully)

Thanks, girls! I'm glad she isn't the only one. I really hope she gets over it soon. Sad

Oni did that, and actually chipped one.

It's not a SERIOUS chip, but it's chipped. My mom (a dental hygientist) said it'll smooth out as she grows. The more she eats, the smoother it'll get.

I hated it and PANICED when I saw that it was chipped!! I thought it would hurt, but it doesn't bother her at all. It's been about 9 months since that happened and it's already basically fixed itself!
