I think it's really cruel to keep cats inside. And people who declaw their cats piss me off. Poor cats need to be active and hunt. Although both my cats have collars and microchips, so I guess they should be indentified.

well she was still in my backyard and my dog almost got mean with her so i brought her in the house then just got the house key and rand over to there house really quick, the kids answered the door, the boy didnt look like he really liked the dog, and the girl was excited to get him back, its name is cocoa. They didnt even know he was outside running about.
How do you now know your dogs not in your huose? makes no sense to me at all.

that dog was sooo adorable, he prob weighed about 3lbs im thinking, sucha cute lil thing, i wouldnt be lettign my collarless dog run free. All dogs have to be registered on base though too, if your in base housing.

i agree with you on the declawing part.

yeah all dogs in my neighborhood have to be up to date on shots and kept up with on shots to live ijn lakeway
we live in a "gated community" so they are pretty strict about shots/rabies and stuff

yeah, those people seemed like they didnt particularly like there dog, well the girl did she was probably like 12 or something , im guessing it is her dog, her brothers i heard before he opened the door, its cocoa, like he knew. I wouldnt have bothered really, but it was in the backyard and audrey was trying to fight with it and she outweighs it by alot lol. I didnt want her to hurt him. plus its like 9:30 at night when i went ringing there doorbell.

Letting my cats out is all that stops them from taking their frustrations out on me and my feet. It is cruel to keep them inside.

my moms cat used to go outside, but he would come home , but one day he got out and never came back but she thinks he was at an animal haven and got adopted out because there was a cat there that entered around the time ours got out and matched the description but someone adopted it, but they said it was a good family. SO ya gotta be careful.

You did such a good thing! I would have been so afraid the the little dog could hav gotten hurt by a big dog or even a human as someone could have not seen it and hurt it by falling on it or accidentally kicking it. I probably would have done the same thing, I don't care too much for people who do not take care of there animals!

ya thats what i was afraid of, plus there are wild boars and they have been known to come into the neighborhood at night. That poor lil thing woulda gotten eaten up, he was to tiny and could easily get hit by a car or get stuck somewhere, he had such short itty bitty legs lol, he could lift his lef to pee on a peice of grass, haha my grass is incredibly long when its almost as tall as this tiny lil thing haha. i picked him up and ran over tehre in my socks and left my door cracked open and took the keys in case it shut. My socks got wet though, it was shorter to go the back way to get to there house through the grass. BUt man that lil thing is just soooooooooooo cute i love it lol. cocoa doesnt fit this dog though, hes a yellow color not even brown.

My cat would have driven me insane if Ida kept her indoors. But now I am guessing she's in kitty heaven.

My cat goes outside, because that's where they are meant to be. He doesn't go to far, and RARELY leaves the yard. He spends most of his time laying under the bushes or on the steps. I just recently started letting him out again. I was scared he'd try to go back to my parents house, since that was the only other place I'd let him out at. But it's been more than 5 years now, so I thought it was time. He didn't like being inside. I still go to my parents and take him with, and he likes to wander around their yard. He's a good boy. My dogs are only allowed off their leash if we're outside with them. Except the puppy, because well...she's a puppy and she'd be more likely to take off than our other dog.

My cat will never go outside. Never. Not only do I not want her to catch fleas - I also don't want to risk her getting lost, picked up by another person/family or animal control, or risk her getting attacked by another animal (cat, dog, whatever) or hit by a car. She has plenty of things to hunt inside the house, like the toilet paper roll in our bathroom.

We also have her front paws declawed. It wasn't our first choice, but she was too rough with using them as she played. I have a number of scars from her already, and we decided that declawing her was the best option for us. We had it done at the same time as her spay, and it didn't seem to bother her a bit. Her paws were tender for a few days, but most of her discomfort was from her spay surgery.

She's a happy, well-adjusted cat. She loves to jump into the bathtub or the bathroom sink and sharpen her paws (yes, really) on the porcelain. We're also not as nervous about letting our young daughter play with her, because we know if our cat bats at her, our child won't be scratched.

I wouldn't recommend declawing to the average cat owner, but it is a viable option if your cat has a problem with scratching people.

yeah also cats can get into anything and get sick
alot of sikkos out there may even try to poison cats and dogs to kill them if they see them running around outside
also it becomes a target for dogs and stuff that may be stray could get ahold of the cat or kitty my neighbors used to let their little cat outside and a chow got her and ripped her spine in half they didnt even care when they found out. they just left it to die in their driveway

I have a huge long-haired cat, that if he went outside would get so many
fleas and his hair would get so matted he would have to be shaved... so he never goes outside and we declawed all four of his paws b/c we have
a leather couch and he was scratching it all up..
he's happy
he sleeps all the time and knows he rules the house..
