Is it me or does anyone else not notice that allot of sites are being shut down, because people complain. Now I know that majority of people here are trying to quit and don't agree with pro -ED sites however, some of the sites being shut down have helped me somehow, ive met people throught there chat rooms, they are the only sites that have chat rooms anymore. all the pro-recovery sites have either taken the chat rooms off, or only have scheduled chats, which isnt very helpful when you really need to talk to someone. I hate that sites are being shut down. its wrong especially in america, its taking allot of our given rights and throwing them away.

Especially eHealthy
In my opinion, they shouldnt be allowed, promoting eating disorders is not healthy, these sites are killing people, teaching them how to avoid eating and purging. If people stopped abusing the websites the recovery ones would have chatrooms. Here on ehealth we are supporting in recovery, we do not promote eating disorders nor share pro ED websites. I dont see what good comes of those websites, when they just show pics of ridiculously skinny models for "thinsperation". tricks to feel full without eating, easy ways to purge and so forth and so on. Recovery sites are far better, they share personal stories, places that can help, treatment centers, how to find help etc, thats jus tmy opinion on it.

Ok, now I dont agree with your point of view, people wouldnt have to turn to pro -ed sites if the recovery ones wouldnt take there chat off, now I dont know if your recovered or not, but I am not, Im not sure when or How or even if I will recover, but I used to use the pro recovery sites to chat with other people my age who suffered with the same problems, and Im sorry but it will always be a habit that I will want to learn new tricks new diet fads, its what we do even people who are recovered because if they think that because they dont do it anymore than why are they posting. Do people think that because they are taking the sites down it going to stop people from developing anorexia or Bulimia No this disease has been around way before the internet, all they have to do is turn on the TV, type in thinspiration on Yahoo, and google image search see what you come up with my guess is a bunch of triggering pictures so shouldnt yahoo, and google be shut down too? Exclamation
