Silya, tact! I just broke up with my fiancee XD

I'm just joking, I'm not that offended.

As far as romantic dates, I don't know... Honestly.

I have been proposed to, and it was very cool, super sweet, and memorable Smile I did say yes, but I broke up with him several months later. The engagement wasn't much more than a bandaid for a lethal wound.

I don't really have any idea of the perfect romantic date. My most romantic however was just a nice picnic at the park and then laying down looking at the stars.

My perfect proposal would be a personal one. I'm a texting addict, so I've imagined getting a texted proposal. Weird, but it's all me.

I have been proposed to. Well, kinda. There was no ring involved, but the words were there. We're still way too young to get married. It was just as romantic as I'd hoped. Not how I imagined, but just as good. Loved it. I said yes and broke out into tears. We're still together and going strong.

I have been proposed only once and I'm going to marry him in october..
It was one of the most memorable days and emotional days in my life. I think what made it more emotional was due to how long the road was for me. I was proposed in my 30's when most gals are already married with one or two kids. So you know by that time you wonder if somebody will ever propose to you. So after so many relationships..so many tears from breakups..decades of daydreaming..to finally see someone that truly loves you and is bending on his knee asking you to be his wife..you better believe i cried. Still the though makes me cry..

I would love to grab a six pack and blanket and have a small picnic at a park or be on the beach, maybe. If not that, then a grill out or something like that, just two people and then renting a video and staying home. Raymond and I have the best time doing those things.

When Raymond proposed, it was Christmas Eve and my whole family was there. He gave me a box and I unwrapped it. It was a very very nice Wedgewood trinket box. I opened that and there was a ring box, but when I opened it, it was empty. I turned around and he was down on one knee! He had someone videotape it and the entire room is hysterical, it's really funny. However, I'd had quite a bit of champagne that night and fainted right after I said yes!

We are still married and, yes, I am very happy with how he proposed. Actually, telling this story here put a serious smile on my face!

Anytime he actually makes the effort to be romantic, I find it incredibly romantic regardless of how it turns out. The idea of him trying to please me is romantic in itself!!

When he proposed, it was my birthday, and we took a day trip to the north shore of lake superior (I'm giving away where I live now!!) we hiked a way up the shore to where there were no people, the waves crashing and cool breeze blowing, all that good stuff. He turned and told me how much he loved me and how he knew he would love me forever, and pulled the ring out. It was perfect, and I was speechless. Didn't cry, though.

I was always afraid he'd make a big public deal of it- that's who he is. But he knew if I was gonna say yes he'd have to do it my way nice and private and intimate!

It was wonderful.

Laughing Not sure if that was the response the average guy would want after a yes.

I know, lol. Earlier in the evening he warned me to slow down on the champagne, but since I didn't know what he had planned to do, I figured he just didn't want me to be out of it when he got me home.

I didn't cry when he proposed either! I always thought I would, but I didn't.

Any date I go on with my bf is romantic, because I think he is wonderful and amazing and creative and intelligent and...and...everything. I'm smitten.
If he were to plan a date out and not tell me about it, but just do a "get dressed like this and be ready by this time" that would be immensely exciting. Heck, we could just go sit on a rowboat all day and that'd be fine with me.

I was, well, I don't know if you could even call it a proposal because I thought it was so ridiculous, but I was dating this man years ago who was a control freak and cheating on me (I found this out later) and he asked me to marry him. I laughed and said, "are you kidding?"

He wasn't. Oops. Laughing

Hi
My husband had gone out earlier the morning he proposed to me and written Marry Me? in the sand below our motel room. We were in Cancun on a vacation get away. He woke me up and took me to the balcony in our room and I looked down and of course I said YES......that was 15 years ago. Romatinc date...hmmmmits been so long....but I think anytime we are together, no matter where we go or what we are doing, there is a romanitc moment there........may not last as long as it use too, but we are two peas in a pod! Cool

My ideal romantic date is anywherein the mountains or the hot springs with a gourmet picnic of fresh and aged cheeses, olives, crackers and fruit. Some nice cool breezes, gold aspen inthe fall, a flannel blanket and big beautiful blue skies.

My husband proposed to me on my 18th birthday. He was late picking me up for a date, and by the time he got to my house I was fuming. He said "hello beautiful", and I said "you're not my boyfriend, my boyfriend would have beenhere on time" Then he got down on his knee and gave me a pink ring box. He said "would you do me the honor of being my wife?" I said yes, then I opened the box and it was ........a geode. I was a little disappointed, but he did get me a decent ring. Next month it will be 13 years of being married.

What is your idea of the most romantic date?
I would love to have a romantic date of me a dinner date that is homeade sitting on a blanket on the sand at the beach. While just relaxing and enjoying eachother. After that taking a long walk barefoot and watching the sunset going down. Than after that staying the night at the beach.
I would love to wake up to the beach waves of them waking me up in the morning.

How would you imagine someone propsing to you?
Gosh good question! I think I would love something special and romantic.
When it happends I know I will be happy and surprised. I can't wait for that special night

Have you ever been proposed to?
Nope! Not yet but hopefully someday soon.

N/A to the next three questions

The most romantic date? Hmmm I would like to ride (on a harley) to a seaside restaurant/grill and have homecooked greasy diner food with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Then go sit and watch the sun set over the ocean. Then go back to the beach house and lay in front of a nice fire, or just be on the beach.

My exhusband proposed to me in my kitchen. I kind of took him for the sappy romantic type so I was so shocked he did it in the kitchen I didn't cry or anything. He wasn't very happy about that. Hence he's my ex, so no...we're not together.

I'm really not interested in remarrying. Once was enough.

What is your idea of the most romantic date?
Flowers and candles and just feeling like the most beautiful woman...we would go to a beautiful place together. Like a clear beach or a waterfall. The date would be at sunset or sunrise outdoors. As long as its pretty

How would you imagine someone propsing to you?
Well it would have to be on my perfect date, but I have no idea. I would like him to get on one knee and ask my father for permission first though.

Have you ever been proposed to?
No I have never been proposed to....Not yet....

Did it meet your expectationis? Did you say Yes? Are you still together

i went to seaworld with my dad and this guy proposed to his girlfriend at the dolphin show. the caretaker was singing a song and then someone brought him a little scroll and he read it and asked over the microphone if some lady was in the audience and she stood up and he told her that her boyfriend had something he wanted to ask. as soon as he said that you could hear all sorts of happy reactions from the audience. i was like aww! when i finally found where they were sitting in the audience the guy was getting up from the kneeling position and he gave her a big hug and yelled "SHE SAID YES!!!" at the top of his lungs. it was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen!! That's when I decided i really wanted to be proposed to somewhere public. not because i'm an attention prostitute, but because it'd be nice to have all those people share the joy and to have lot's of people there to remind me i wasn't dreaming =]

A romantic date would have to be something simple, but from the heart. My lover surpised me and took me to a play i wasnted to see. He got my clothes together picked me up from work. I changed thinking we were going to dinner. Walked Downtown to the threater I still had no clue until we got to the door. Afterwards we walked by the lake and went to dinner. It was very simple. Its all about the thought a person put into it. I've never been proposed to I just want it to be unsuspected and him on one knee.

A romantic date for me would mean a picnic in the park
sitting away from everone else.
Roses laid out on the blanket and holding your lovers hand.
It would have to be at sunset or sunrise.

I would love to be perposed to on my special date him on his knee and then asking me with all of his heart.

Yes i have been perposed to and i said yes we are getting married on December 24th 2007. It is going to be the best day of my life.

Me and my lover have been together for 7 years and there should be no reason why we wont stay together once we are married.

We also have a child that we both adore and he is 2.
