My brother in law was diagnoised (maybe not spelled right) and we are searching for any help we can get!! He's not doing very well and needs a liver transplant. If anyone out there has any info for us, no matter what that info might be, please share it with us!!
Thank you very much,

I just went to a search engine (google.Com) there are others eg yahoo - & typed in alpha 1 disorder & it came back with lung disorders - apparently it's inherited (so all family members should be tested) & the liver doesn't make something the lungs need so breathing problems begin often lung transplants are needed but the I typed in alpha 1 disorder & need for liver transplant? & got over 7000 links - obviously you don't need to check them all!!!

Anyway having had a look & not knowing your brother in laws age or health condition/symptoms etc that bought him to this point I thought it better for you to go to google.Com & type in what I did & then check the links & get the information direct.

Good luck to you all.

thank you so much for the info, my brother in law was born with this disorder and it took quite awhile for it to effect him, he's in his 40's he did get testing kits for his daughter who just turned 19. We are hoping that she doesn't test positive because she just had a little one in september. But again thank you for the info!!
