Hi- i am 24 yo otherwise fit healthy female with sharp pain right at the bottom of right rib in the front. pain began about 3 days after i fell on my rib, when i was stretching heard a pop like cracking a joint. went to ER and got x-rays, they said it looked fine, just a bruise. That was 3 weeks ago and pain is getting worse. If is walk, clench my abs, bend over, sit up, breath deeply, cough, i get pain that wraps around my ribcage. back hurts as well at the bottom of ribs but not as sharply, i think just from slouching for 3 weeks as this is the only way it doesnt hurt! i think its a severely pulled muscle, possibly fractured rib. Only thing is I had gallstones and got my gallbladder removed when I was just 13 years old. Just wanted to see if anyone thought this pain could be related to post-surgury or pancreas problems stemming from the removal of gallbladder. Thank you so much for your advice!

It sounds like you have subluxed a rib. an osteopath or (a very very good) chiropracter could help you with this. If your problems persist and seem to be related to eating, i would suggest that you follow up with a gastroenterologist.
