Q: Did I Freeze My Injured Penis ?

I am in my late 30's and was functioning fine until just a couple months ago. Ok here is what happened. I got a rash on my body which I believed to be poison oak. I have had poison oak in the past so it appeared to be the same sort of rash. Anyway, eventually this rash found it's way to my penis, as it had done in the past. Once it arrived to my penis it also got on my scrotum as well. It was VERY, VERY itchy and my penis got VERY swollen. To relieve the pain, I put an ice bag on my penis at night. This worked well at relieving the itching as it kinda numbed the area. Now, fast-forward 2 months later, I have been unable to have a decent erection every since this episode. I can still have an orgasm but I am not very erect and have no chance of satisfying a woman with a semi-erect penis. So, What do you THINK this could be? I realize I need to see a doctor as well, but I am looking for any solid ideas here first.

Thank you,

First, you should never leave a heating pad or ice on a location when a patient is catatonic or asleep, especially if the patient is YOU. This leads to burns and frostbite.

Yep, it's time to go to a doctor and see what's up.

Wow you managed to freeze you penis ... thats almost a darwin award Smile

Aside from that having somehting cold there all night has probaly damaged the tissue it will probaly repair itself the bodys good at that however these things dont tend to happen as fast as we would like.

As for the "poison oak" as far as im aware its the oil on the plant that causes the rash the rash is the body having an alergic reaction to the oil now correct me if im wrong but if the oil on the skin causes the alergic reaction then aside from walking round in the wild naked how did you manage to get a rash on your penis ?!

I'd almost be laughing if the consequences were so severe, devar.

I went to a doctor, he believe that I did no damage with the ice pack...he said it just would be dead skin if I had frostbite.

His explanation for what is happening is hard to believe for me. He THINKS it may be Peyronie's disease, since I told him my penis bends a bit to the side. He wants me to take a picture of my penis while erect and see if the penis is hard after the bend. Does anybody have any experience with this and does it seem plausible?

Well yes, anything's possible, and at least your doctor is actively searching for a cause.
