Not much, but I'm not going to see a guy in a dress and think it's Ok.

Not at all. Though I see and have some of the rules, a baby girl can wear blue and I won't think differently.

Gender Rules Posted: 08-19-07 13:43pm
Just something to think about:
Be honest here. Gender rules can be
anything from little girls wearing pink,
to men being manly with huge muscles. They
can be common such as 'girls wear skirts,
guys wear jeans', or they can be ubsured
like 'girls serve men, men beat them'.
Now, I'm -not- asking you how common or
ubsured your set of gender rules are for
this poll. I'm asking how strongly you
follow them. Say if you think baby girls
wear pink and only baby boys wear blue;
and you think someone is nuts for dressing
a girl in blue, you're probably following
them pretty strongly. Just because you
have 'lax' rules doesn't mean you can't
follow them.
So much happens because of gender rules
alone.
Mention how common or ubsured your rules
are, use examples please, and explain as
you would like.
Lets discuss.

I'm not sure your poll has a category for
me; "I don't give a sticky bun for gender
rolls and I doughnut follow them,
either".
Dudes can wear skirts for all I care.
It's what kind of person you are that
takes the cake for me.
I don't like girly clothes on any guy, and
I would indeed feel unconfortable making
my son wear pink clothes, unless he's gay
(oddly I'd be okay with that). Let's say
I'm okay with others way of living, but I
want me and my relatives to be "normal",
"their gender".
When I was about 13 I had to wear that
giant pink ski uniform that was too small
for my big sister. My mom said "at least
we can easily spot you on the snow!" I
just hated this. I wanted to kill myself
in an avalanche, but I didn't want the
news to show on page 1 "Avalange kills
GIRL on mountain".
Thank GOD it wasn't ski vacation with
school... That would have socially kicked
me out of any group at that age.
What also I often dislike is long hair on
men, and short hair on women... I just
plainly don't like that, but I'm not sure
if it concerns gender education.
Furthermore, I'm okay with strong girls
but not when she is totally unable to show
a little feminine side. Same otherways:
boys do cry, but jeez, not for every
single thing !

I'm in the same boat. Girly clothes on a
guy can be very sexy!! I myself crossdress
- I'm a girl so we wear pants often
anyway, but I go the whole nine yards,
complete with tie, pants, tied down
breasts, and a sock in mah pants
I'd had short hair from age ten till
really college. It had gotten to neck
length a few times but I always chopped it
back off. I love th pixie look on girls,
it's so cute and hot.
