When did you notice this lump on your gum? Do you have symptoms like oral pain, numbness, unusual bleeding? Are you find difficult to open your jaw, problems with chewing or swallowing?Do you think that maybe your face sensory is changed?
I'll suggest you to visit your doctor or your dentist immediately. They 'll referred you to a head and neck surgeon if it is important.
I'll think of you.
Best wishes!

My lump but at the back of my throat about an inch away from my toncil. It is perfectly round about 3mm in size and yellow\whitish. It moves around beneaf the skin and I have had it there now for 8 weeks and not a single chnage in size and is not painful. Anyone have any ideas what this could at all be.

Later to what I posted I found out this was an Abscess, after tooth removal the lump dissapeared. If you have it next to a tooth then it could be Abscess. The tooth it was near wasnt a fully grown tooth, but of a half hearted attempt. As in the past I had problems with a tooth there before and they ripped it out and stitched me up so this one didnt grow in right and never really appeared to be a real tooth but something of a decayed disabled tooth.

Go to dentist if you get same lump and put your mind to rest. Smile Thank god it wasnt cancer.

I have this thing on my gum, and it's like a mole. It is right bellow my moller, and I can wiggle it! It isn't causing any pain, but it sure does not look right. Anyone know what it is? shrug

I have THE EXACT same thing, I can wiggle it, and it looks so abnormal, my mother says it's nothing, but these things don't just pop up out of nowhere! Question

Answers to most, and a question.
I believe its a mild stage of gum cancer. I was reading some articles and suggestion on my own. I have a lump on my gums near the wishing tooth area in the right backside of my mouth. It hurts so badly I cant even sleep at night. I do not believe what I have is gingivitis, because, it is not spread out areas of the gum. Just one lump sore. Really painful, does anyone know what it is? On that cancer note, if you have a yellowish, whitish color wart, thickness to lips, gums, or back of your mouth, I believe thats cancer. Consult your dentist or doctor immediately. Ultimately cancer is not something that should progress.

Lump
Hi.

You are only 10 years old. At 10, all sorts of lumps & bumps appear & go.
It may be you have a small abscess but whatever the reason, just calm down....you will not come to any harm.
Tell you mum & dad & get it sorted. I promise it will not be anywhere as bad as you think.

Best wishes

Charlie

possible gum cancer
I have white striations on my gum where a tooth was extracted years ago.

When I went to the dentist for a cleaning, he told me this could possibly be a type of cancer, or a callous from excessive brushing.
It has been a month since my visit, and it is still there.

There is no infammation, swolleness, or pain or irration of any kind.

Please advise.

Possible Gum Cancer.
Hi Susie.

I find it difficult to belive that your dentist diagoned a possible cancer and did nothing about it!

From what you say, it sounds as though the area of gum is hyperkeratinised. It is probably as your dentist says caused by over-enthusiastic brushing & certainly nothing to worry about.
It needs no treatment.

Hope this helps,

Dr. John.
