My toddler fell with a straw in her mouth. This happend three days ago. I didn't see anything in her mouth other that her tonsil looked swollen. On the second day her tonsils had a white spot that appeared to be where she had hurt herself with the straw. She does say her mouth hurts, but doesn't complain very often. I also notice that she is rubbing her ear like it is bothering her. The ear is on the same side as the sore. Today, day three the sore is red and doesn't look terrible, but I am concerned if there is anything I should watch for. Could this cause ear problems or is the ear a side affect that will heal with the sore? She doesn't have a fever, and she is active and eating normal.
