i had vaginal/posterior wall repair
surgery after only complaining of leakage
of urine. My docter scheduled the above
surgery above along with pelvic support
(mesh of uterus, rectum, and bladder)
which i had two monts ago. i trust him to
a certain extent, but still have my
doubts. i asked my gyn if i need to do
anything to prolong the surgery effects
like kegals, or buy somthing like vaginal
cones or weights to decrease the chances
of having to have this surgery again. It
was painful, and i was out of work for 4
weeks recouperating. i don't want to have
to do this again at any age. He told me No
i don't have to do a thing. Is this true?
it sounds good and all, but b-4 i had the
surgery, i was using a device called
kegalmaster, and it seemed to help my
problem with incontinence and vaginal
muscle control.
is this something that i can continue to
use without having a setback (bladder
dropping)? Kegals without a device
(biofeedback) didn't help me at all, and i
did those for years so i know what i'm
talking about. i don't have the bladder
problem at all anymore, but now know that
my vaginal muscles are weaker than they
were, and fear that my problem will come
back sooner than later. if i can't
use that device, what biofeedback device
could i use to help but not hurt me?

Women normally don't have to do anything
to prevent incontinence. You had an
anatomical problem that was corrected with
surgery, and should now have normally
functioning anatomy- therefore should not
have to do anything to prevent
incontinence.
If your doc said no, I wouldn't worry.

Kegals can help minor incontinence issues,
yes. however, if that isn't working for
her, she might want to see her doctor. Did
she give birth recently or anything?
