Endometriosis And the Pill...? Posted: 08-17-07 18:57pm
Does the birth control pill shrink
endometriosis? If you have endometriosis
and the pill does shrink it and helps with
the pain felt with endometriosis, would
the doctor still find endometriosis if he
did a laparoscopy to diagnose whether you
have endometriosis or not?
In other words, would the
surgeon/specialist at the time of
laparoscopy still be able to find some or
if any traces of endometriosis if the pill
has started to shrink the endo implants or
if it's small and shrunk it could appear
normal at the time of laparoscopy??

Hi Im not quite sure if it can shrink endo
but it definitely can stop it from growing
more, so you may still haev the same
amount of endo now as you had before you
started birth control. Im not an expert
but in my opinion it doesn't shrink it, it
CAN help in not letting it grow.
