Q: 128 Over 90 Too High a Bp For 28m Donor?

I am trying to be a donor for kidney transplant. Ive successfully passed every evaluation examination but they keep telling me that my blood pressure is of "concern". Doctors say I am healthy and fit, but don't know why my bp is 128/90. Is this too high? What might be the maximum bp a 25/m/6'/170# should have? Might they feel the need to reject me as a donor for such a bp reading?

I think it is just the lower number they are worried about. I think that normal is usually 120/70 but most people aren't that low. It depends on the person. I am a diabetic with kidney disease and mine averages 130/80. It will go up and down. Did they do more than one bp reading? Was this the average? Good luck. I hope things work out. Sorry I am not more help. Hopefully someone else has more experience in this area.
