My two year old son is always chewing on his fingernails. He has bit them down to where they will bleed at times. No one he is in contact with bites their nails. He is a very happy boy and always has been; he doesn't act nervous while biting his nails. Any advice? Neutral

Hi, habit...that is all it is...not nervousness or anything like that..just a habit.

My brother was like that at that age..there were some things my mom did back then, but I don't think I would do them now..like painting some yucky tasting stuff on them (it is made for that purpose) so they don't chew them..but..that never did end up working for my brother.

What worked for him you ask??
He justs grew out of it in time.

Hope that helps.
Susie.
