Q: False Positive?

Hi, I am on the pill though haven't been very consistent with the time I have been taking it at all and also missed one day completely a couple of weeks ago. I did a pregnancy test on Monday and it came out positive, it was a fairly faint blue line though definitely there. Thought I would check to make sure again this morning and the test came out negative, absolutely no trace of a line. Could it be a false positive, any advice? I am due my period at the start of next week so know that I have jumped the gun with the testing. Just so worried about it...thanks!

there is no such thing as a false positive. theres such thing as a false negative though, depending on your hormone levels, time of the day, etc. you can always wait until your period is due and if it doesnt come your most likely pregnant, but you can always test again to be sure. i tested like 3 times when i was pregnant with william because i couldnt believe it as i was also on the pill
