Cervical Cancer Or Just Stress/being Rough??
Posted: 08-16-07 03:30am

I'm twenty years old and have only been with one man, my husband of nearly two years. A few times I have spotted between periods, it was pink and sometimes brown very very light I didn't even have to wear a pad. Several times when rough I have bled after sex (this would usually be after a while without having any.). Since being married my period has changed (it used to be seven days and extremely heavy.) Now it is around eight or nine days and will be light one month than heavy the next, like a pattern. I am a hypohcondriac so it is extremely hard to go to the doctor also because I am a bit poor and can't afford it. I have increasingly high levels of stress due to my hyphocondria so maybe it's just in my head, any advice would be most helpful. Thank you.

Bleeding is not uncommon after rough sex or if you are too dry. However, since you are sexually active, you should be seeing an ob-gyn for your yearly pap anyway. Any bleeding should be brought to the attention of the ob-gyn. It's usually nothing, but bleeding can be a sign of larger problems.

You don't need money to see an ob-gyn. Places like Family Planning or Planned Parenthood will charge you little or no money for an exam.
