Has anyone ever had a problem with mold and then was diagnosised with M.S. I have read some connections but would like to hear from real people that may have had simular problems.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis And Connection With Mold
I have always had mold allergies, but I have not heard of a connection with MS. I am currently on allergy shots for the third time. My MS neurologist has never asked about my allergies. That is interesting though. Where did you find this information? I would like to read about it also.

I was looking all over the websites and found a few linking toxic mold to m.s. or other things when i brought it up to my neurologist she said she new nothing about toxic mold or sick building syndrome now she has stopped my shots until i see a specialist neurologist that does know about it.

There is a lot of information that suggests environmental issues may trigger MS. It seems strange that she would stop your treatment just because she does not specifically know about a link to mold exposure. Have you had a definite exposure to "toxic" mold? That is very different than just your plain old household mold. We all get that sometimes.

Maybe it is a good idea that you find another neurologist. If you do not already have that appointment you should probably make it soon. You don't want to go too long without your MS meds and have a relapse. You never know what might happen. We all want to avoid the possibility of future disability. Hey, that rhymed. Laughing

Anyway, keep on top of it. You are you own best advocate, and you know your body better than anyone.

Very Happy - T
