I was just wondering when you all started wearing/buying maternity clothes. I'm at that in between stage where old pants won't button, but I haven't tried any maternity clothes yet because I dont think they will fit. My regular shirts are fine obviously but this pants situation is driving me nuts! I bought that 'bella band' thing that you wear over your unbuttoned pants but its annoying throughout the day and the maternial makes you really hot. Any advice?

Thanks girls,

Heather

You can loop a rubber band through your button hole and attach it to your button. Add more rubber bands as you expand. That was the 'old school' way of doing it before bella bands.

Stretch pants are making a comeback and those work so well during pregnancy! Obviously because they are stretchy in the tummy area.

Sweat pants. But those get old and boring, I know.

You might try some maternity pants on. Maybe they would feel better.

I didn't start wearing maternity clothes until I was about 6 months. But a friend of mine started when she was 9 weeks. Everyone is different.

im 24 weeks and i still wear my old pants. granted they dont fit what so ever, but i use extenders which you can but at basically any maternity store, and rubber bands and just cover them with maternity shirts. ive always been really small so they dont really make maternity pants that fit me. maternity shirts i started wearing around 16 weeks but i could still get away with wearing tanks under my old clothes. now i just NEED maternity clothes.

thanks for the tips. My boyfriend and I actually went last night to see if I would even fit maternity pants and I actually did. Regular shirts are fine, it seems i'm going to carry really low. I have to dress professionally at my job so I just got some basic colored work pants...anywhere else i'm in sweats!

I am 32 weeks preggo and I just started wearing Mat clothes. most of my shirts still fit because I wear the long style, but I dont really like wearing stretchy pants, so I bought one pair of mat pants and my moms style is close to mine, so we share clothes. saves on the money.
