Q: Left And Right Shoulder Pain

I've been having pain on both the right and left side shoulder blades. The doctor has run numerous tests and come up with nothing. I've also had shooting pains in my right ribcage -- not as much as the pain, but here and there. My bra also feels like it's cutting into me so I went a band size up and it still is uncomfortable. Anyone else have these problems???

Sorry you've been experiencing so much discomfort. Have you tried stimulating the shoulder joint? A very simple exercise you can do twis a day is to stay upright and lift your shoulders to your ears, then drop them to the floor. Or, you can rotate your shoulders in small circles. how much activity do you get a day?

No Doctor But -----
Hello Someohiogirl,

Has your doctor mentioned/checked for possible torn rotator cuffs in your right and left shoulder? Do you have difficulty lifting like a 1/2 gallon of liquid with your arm outstreached? I couldn't do that when my rotator cuff was torn.

A word of caution regarding doing any exercises until the cause of your pain. You don't want to make things worse.

The shooting pains are concerning.

Perhaps it may be a good idea to seek a second opinion from another doctor. And you do need to see an orthopedic surgeon and or neurologist in my opinion.

Can you give a little more information? What tests have you had? What has been ruled out thus far? Did you have an injury or is this a gradual thing. This info will help so that i don't suggest things you have already tried.
