Q: Fibroid After Hysterectomy?

Hello,

My mum is suffering from intense pelvic pain, constipation and constant belching. She visited the Dr and he noticed something to the left of the area where her uterus used to be. He says it could be a fibroid but we should have it checked instead.

Could one have a fibroid even without a uterus? Is it possible to have a fibroid after a hysterectomy? What could this be?

Please help?

I am worried.....I am scared.

fibroids after hysterectomy?
hullo Nikki, I have just been diagnosed with a possible fibroid....5 years after my hysterectomy and 5 months after an ovarian cancer op. At the moment I am deciding what to do.... has your mom had any follow up treatment? A nutritionist friend of mine in South Africa has successfully treated her own fibroids with various health products and has suggested I try them out... of course having had ovarian cancer and an extremely rare and aggressive one at that.... you can imagine my dilemma... should you have any info you would like to share -- I would love to hear from you....I hope your mom recovers soon....

I am sorry but this post is two years old...Hopefully she does see it...Possibly another poster will have some additional information for you...

I know if this was me I would go with what the Physician has advised...
