My sister is taking antibiotics for an infection . she has taken Keflex and Augmentin and is having a reaction to both. She says they make impossible to take care of daily task. Serious stomach problems and unable to eat. Has anyone ever had this problem?? How was it resolved the Doctor has told her that they are running out of options in the mean time she is paying over 500 dollars for doctor visits and medication that is really of no use. Any advice would be great.

Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium) is a prescription antibiotic that is licensed to treat various types of infections. Keflex (cephalexin) is typically used to treat common bacterial infections.

The most common side effects of Augmentin include:
* Diarrhea or loose stools -- in up to 9 percent of people
* Nausea -- up to 3 percent
* Vomiting -- up to 1 percent.

More serious side effects of Augmentin NEED TO BE REPORTED to the physician ASAP. Signs of an allergic reaction, including unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing...are one such symptom.

The same is true for Keflex. Hives, severe or watery diarrhea, bloody stools, throat or mouth sores, unexplained bleeding or bruising, rashes etc. Symtpoms such as itching and wheezing, difficulty breathing or swallowing and swelling of the throat also need to be reported.

Good luck to your sister! She needs to talk to a physician ASAP.

Hi,

well, do you know The Laws of the Pharmaceutical Industry?

....
4. The marketplace for the pharmaceutical industry is the human body - but only for as long as the body hosts diseases. Thus, maintaining and expanding diseases is a precondition for the growth of the pharmaceutical industry.

5. A key strategy to accomplish this goal is the development of drugs that merely mask symptoms while avoiding the curing or elimination of diseases. This explains why most prescription drugs marketed today have no proven efficacy and merely target symptoms.
....
11. Vitamins and other effective natural health therapies that optimize cellular metabolism threaten the pharmaceutical "business with disease" because they target the cellular cause of today's most common diseases - and these natural substances cannot be patented.
-----------

you need to restore/normalize your body metabolism mechanism, try to get Zalmanov book "Secrets and wisdom of the human body", his method really cures

Good luck

Agreed...I'm of the opinion that pharmaceuticals treat SYMPTOMS and not the disease. Yogi practitioners blame eating incorrectly as the cause of all illness...and I've confirmed this with my own experience.
