I am on ortho-tri cyclin, or rather the generic version of it, and I was wondering about my cyle. My period always starts 4 days after the active (blue) pills stop, so by the time it's done it has been about 11 days since the active pills instead of 7. Am I supposed to start taking the active pills after 7 days even if im in the middle of my period or do I simply start again when my period's done for the pill to be effective. I've been waiting so please let me know soon so I know if i'm wrong. Thanks!

You start taking the new pack whatever day you end the old one. If you start your pack on sunday, then you take the "empty" pills until sunday when you start your new pack.
