.....we are leaving for Maine in ...t...minus....3 days!!! I am so ready for a nice vacation. I looked at the temperature last night and a few days that we are up there it is only going to be in the high 60's.... Shocked We have been having a heat wave down here in NC. DH is all excited because he is going to be cool, I'm going to be freezing! But we will have tons of fun.

I was in a meeting on Monday and instead of paying attention I started making a list of things to bring and started listing my outfits I want to take...Im a dork, I know, but I am just so excited to go.

Hope you have a good time. A vacation would be SOOO nice right now. But being that I am 39.2 weeks preggo, that's a little out of the question right now. Maybe next year.

Yeah that could be a little tricky on the plane with you being that preggo. I was really hoping that we would have gotten pregnant last month so that we could tell the whole family the good news while on vacation. I can't wait, only 2 more days!! Laughing

It was 54 degrees this morning when I woke up. We actually turned the heat on!!!!!!!! The days are gorgeous. It's supposed to be in the low 70's all weekend and back up to the mid 70's to low 80's early next week.

We are going to Peak's Island in Casco Bay outside of Portland. I am sooooo excited. I have been packed since Monday. DH keeps saying, "you are NOT going to need that many clothes" But it never hurts to have to many.

So I take it you are in Maine? I saw the weather for the Portland area and on Saturday there is a high of 65 and then the rest of the week it will be in the mid 70's. DH was like, I hope it gets cold enough to snow!!! He is ridiculous and would have it snow everyday if he could. He is just grumpy about the heat wave we have been having down here in NC. I have packed some sweatshirts and long sleve shirts for the nights. It has been a while since it was in the 40's and 50's around here. Sometimes at night it is still in the mid 80's. HORRIBLE Evil or Very Mad

Yes, I live in Maine in the Bangor area, which is about 1 1/2 hours from Portland.
I would pack many sweatshirts and pants. It gets chilly in the evenings.

I feel so sorry for the people that are stuck in areas that are in triple digits. I would be grumpy too. Tell your hubby to bite his tongue about the snow. That isn't happening!!!!!!!!! Not yet anyway

I used to work with a guy that lives in Bangor. He loves it up there. I told him to forget about the snow... He is just angry that we didn't get any snow this year in Coastal NC...hmmm...wonder why??? We moved from northern VA and used to get lots of snow. I asked him if he was going to pack sweatshirts and he said...maybe one... I know he will regret not bringing more, so I am bringing an extra one and some long sleve shirts, because I know he will want them once he is cold at night.

My favorite thing to do up there is look for sea glass. I have a small collection going from last year and I can't wait to look for more. We don't get any sea glass down here. They always have to pump in new sand after storms and hurricanes, so it isn't here for that long.
