Q: Pregnancy : few pains and my belly feels different !

I feel really wierd today. And worried that there's something wrong.
I've had a few pains and my belly feels different.
It's usually quite hard but today it looks quite a lot smaller and feels all squishy.
I read on the nhs direct website that you can have a 'missed' miscarriage or delayed misscarriage.
I haven't had any bleeding so i'm scared maybe that might have happened.
Anyone know what it couldbe?
Or if i'm just being paranoid?
Is a squishy belly normal?
Please help!!! Sad

yes, or theyll just listen to the heartbeat, but you should have a scan around 12 weeks and 20 weeks. your doctor should have referred you to the hospital for these scans

i havn't seen a doctor yet!
i went to the family planning clinic when i found out and they said to call the early pregnancy unit for a dating scan as i am unsure of dates etc.
but when i called they said they wouldn't do it etc.
i'm so desperate for a scan because i'm convinced there's something not right.
i have an appointment with a doc tomorrow. but apparently he'll have to fill out a form and stuff to send off for an appointment for a scan.
i'm off to spain on tues so ideally i need one before then!!
cos i can't wait that long!
if i go to accident and emergency and say i'm pregnant and havn't had a scan and i'm scared that there's something wrong, will they scan me or chec for a heartbeat to reassure me or willthey tell me to go away and stop wasting their time?
thanks so much for your help.

depends on the hospital really, but they will check the heartbeat. when you find out you're pregnant you should really go to the doctor first and theyll find out how far along you are by your last period and then refer you to the hospital. i was 5 weeks gone when i found out and it took a few weeks for the hospital to make the appointment for my 12 week scan. they will then refer you to a midwife who will assist you throughout the pregnancy

that's another thing.
i can't be sure when my lst period was.
i was taking the pill.
but insteadof taking it for 21 days a month i took it the whole way through
and didn't give myslef a break for about 3 months.
so it could be anytime in those 3 months.
that's another reason why i'm worried.
cos if i didn't let myself have a period.... then surely my uterus isn't good enough for a baby??

then i advise you to speak to your local doctor and he can check the heartbeat or go to the a&e if you're seriously worried x
