Hormone Regulators and heavy period ! Posted: 08-15-07 00:40am
A while back my doctor put me on the pill
to help me get my hormones regulated. Well
i took them like i was supposed to, and i
had my period when i came to the white
pills.. but i blead crazy badly. I had to
change my tampons AND pads every hour. I
dont know if every pill will have me do
this, but like, I have an appointment with
my gyno on friday and i'm just wondering
what i should ask her about. Any tips or
anwers?

no every pill will not do that ... most
pills will make ur period lighter .. you
just have to find the right one for u . if
u have been on the pill for 3 months
(which is about the time it takes ur body
to get used to it ) i would reccommend
switching pills.

An unusually light or heavy period is
common when you first start the pill,
though most of the time it will lighten up
within time.
However, if you were bleeding that much,
you need to see the doc because you were
losing too much blood!! A heavy period is
ok.... Niagara falls isn't!!

yea, it was niagra falls:S
I took the pills for 2 months and then
stopped because i couldn't take the
constant weirded out feeling i had
whenever i'd go to the bathroom every five
seconds. I need to find my kind of pill,
becasue its also so nerve raking to miss a
period. Or only have 2 a year like me,
which angers me off. I just want to be
normal x.x

Between that and getting your period late,
you sound like you are having a birth
control nightmare.
Good luck. The doc should be able to help
you find a pill that regulates periods
better without Niagara falls. And without
missing your periods. Lol--
You need to sit back and take a deep
breath, girl.
