I am a nursing mom and have had my period for 4 months now. I had my period 2 weeks ago, on schedule. However I am now bleeding a lot as if I am having another period. I also feel as if I am low in milk. Does any one have any thoughts on what is going on?
Thank you, for your support.

There might be more insight in the pregnancy forums....

Most people on the birth control forums are trying to avoid having children, so we aren't nursing Wink

Good luck.

Are you on any kind of birth control? It can dry up milk slightly.

Nursing can cause period changes, including spotting between periods, or vene a lighter than usual flow.

nursing is not effective at birth control, so if you have been having sex, you may consider taking a pregnancy test.
