Q: Pain Medication

I've been suffering from severe sciatica for months. I am getting my MRI finally tomorrow (my choice I put it off). Anyone know of a pain medication that will help cover the pain yet let me work while I'm trying to heal?

Vicotin does NOT do anything but make me feel sick. I am starting a new job Monday and I really need to be able to sit down for hours at a time.

Lyrica might help you with fewer side effects. Also a really good anti-inflammatory could help as well.

Pain Killers
Hello SheRa,

I'm with you on the Vicotin. That stuff makes me sleep the day away. I'm literally useless.

Perhaps Lyrica may work better for you as Sillyakchick suggests. I would only suggest that you try it BEFORE you start your new position. Our bodies all react diffeently to various medications.

Have you discussed having an epidural injection with your doctor?
