I've been on the pill for about a year and I'm on day 11 of my new pack.

I was about two days late starting this pack and during that time I had unprotected sex. A couple days ago I missed another pill and I had unprotected sex then as well. I've been having some cramping and for the past few days I've been having some brown and pink discharge. I've also been feverish.

Is this just a side effect from starting the pack late or is there a good chance that I'm pregnant? Also, how soon can I take a HPT?

It could be either. Although you probably wouldn't be showing actual symptoms of pregnancy yet, there is a chance you are pregnant.

I'm not really sure how soon you can take it, it is different for different tests. Get an early response test and look at the directions to see how soon you could do it.

The longer you wait the more accurate they are.

Even when you're on the pill it's nice to keep condoms around for situations like this when you aren't protected.

Just remember that pain in your abdominal region is not necessarily related to your birth control-

I'd go see a general practitioner if it persists.
