Okay, my problem is, my girlfriend and I are sexually active. We use condoms and she is on Estrostep 28's. The pharmacy said that TennCare wasnt going to pay for her birth control. Neither me or her have the money to pay the full price each month. My question is, does anyone know which birth controls TennCare is willing to cover? Or should this be a question she should make with her OB/GYN? It wouldn't be a problem not having them at all, but we both like that little piece of mind. Thanks in advance!

She would need to call Tenncare and ask them. They would know exactly what they cover.

Tenncare would cover certain types of BC pills, you basically need to call them and ask.

ALSO, call the obgyn. IF she knows your financial situation, she may be more than willing to gives you guys some free samples!

Many docs are willing to give free samples.

Also you could request that the doc switch you to something cheaper. I am on loestrin but the pharmacy replaces it with the much cheaper generic version, Junel. Without any insurance, it is about $10 per month.
