Q: Birth Control Pills - Ortho Tri Cyclen lo Question

I posted this before but want to make sure I know because my boyfriend gets home from vacation tomorrow..

I lost my last active pill of Ortho Tri Cyclen lo. I didn't have any extra packs b/c I can only get one per month on my insurance. So, I started my new pack on Saturday instead of Sunday to make sure I only went 7 days without active pills. Am I correct in saying that I am still protected? Or should I use condoms for the first 7 days like starting over? Also, is it a big deal that my start day is now Saturday instead of Sunday, will it ever catch up and go back to Sunday again, is this a big deal or not? What's the next step to make sure I'm still protected?

I personally would use condoms for a week just to be sure. It can't hurt.
When you shorten your active cycle you risk protection.
And your start day can be saturday, it doesn't really matter. Just cross out "sunday" on your pack and write saturday lol. Or use the stickers they provided if they did.
