My girl friend is pregnant and she has a kidney infection. this was found out by the doctor 3 days after it actually admited to the hospital (friday-8/10/07). there were no syptoms of a kidney infection. so they would just send us back home becuase there were no signs. now she has been in there since friday and i feel she is getting worse. she has been on anti biotics and pain killers. first the pain was 6 outa 10 then and 8... now its so bad that it hurts to breath. so they now have her on oxygen now and she has gained about 10 pounds since she has been in there... my question is;.... is this just a waiting game something that will take her ahile to get over or should i be worried?

A kidney infection should be able to be treated with antibiotics. If there are other complications then it will be harder.... You should really ask the doc what the treatment is like so he can give you an idea.
