Is it possible to get pregnant even if you don't have vaginal sex? I mean I've heard of cases where the circumstances are really obvious, but mine aren't, and I'm worried. I really want to get through school and stuff, but I really don't want to have any kids right now, and there isn't a possible way of me getting a birth control test without me being in alot of trouble. Does anyone know?

You have to get semen into your vagina to become pregnant. Use Condoms if you are ready to have sex, or go to planned parenthood to get on birth control. Planned parenthood is completely confidential and most of the time free. They can not tell your parents that you even went there, let alone that you are having sex.

Thank you so much for the reply to this. I guess I'm just panicing because I've missed my period, and well I usually do, but that isn't the case. It's just that I'm overreacting and scared. I'd like to some how get some reasurence, but I don't know if that'll ever be possible.

My guess is that you're overreacting. It is really hard to get pregnant if you didn't have sex. Do you think that semen got in your vagina?

If you're young (like under 20) than your period is likely to be weird often, it takes a while for your period to regularize.

Yea i think that semen got into my vagina, and I am under 20 which makes me even more ashamed of my choice. I don't ever plan on doing this again. I mean, I'm not sure why I ever did:(. It was a mistake and I'll never do it until I'm married.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you think it happened?

There's a lot you can do without the risk of pregnancy (oral, anal, manual stimulation, etc). It's really really hard to get pregnant unless you had sex.

So unless his penis was inside/right near your vagina when he ejaculated, or one of you held semen in your hand and put it in your vagina, it just doesn't seem likely.

I think it was becase i had anal, if it was a possiblility. We both, my boyfriend and me, thought what if it were possible that semen could have passed somehow into my vagina. We both just want to get through school and have a life together out of school, and we were just scared I guess.
Thank you so much for replyng though, its really great to see someone who cares at all, without judging me.

The only way you can get pregnant from anal sex is if semen drips from the anus to the vagina.

It is remotely possible for you to have gotten pregnant, just really unlikely. You are avoiding sex, which really is the best way to avoid pregnancy!!

Just remember that you are not only protecting yourself against pregnancy, you are protecting yourself from std's, which you can get without having sex. It doesn't sound like an issue for you right now, but remember that you need to take care of yourself!

Don't worry, we all were paranoid when we were teenagers. Wink But honestly, if you're not having sex, you're not going to get pregnant. It's the most effective way to avoid pregnancy.

yea trust me, i know. And its not help that i'm super paranoid about most everything. Its just we both dont want kids right now. And my sister already made that mistake, and well, my parents are still dealing with that hurt from her. I think tomarrow i'm going to head down to the drug store and buy a BC test. Just so i can calm down about it if its negative ya know.

Sounds good. I've taken plenty of unnecessary pregnancy tests in my lifetime, so I can relate.

Luckily I'm at a place in my life where pregnancy wouldn't be a bad thing, so I feel much more calm Wink

I'm just scared, because i wonder what if i am. My parents would kill me and my boyfriend. I'm just really scared about that whole situation. I'm completely against abortions, but i really need to get through school and I couldn't risk missing weeks of school. I mean, if i did end up pregnant i would send the baby to an adoption home where it could hopefully get a better life, but i'm just praying i'm not.

Don't pray, test!!

If you're too worried about someone finding out, you can buy the test at the drugstore and use the test in the drugstore bathroom, throw it away when you're done, and leave.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.... but I'm thoroughly convinced you're not pregnant.....

Is it 4 weeks since you had your sexual encounter? Or 4 weeks since your last period?

It is pretty unlikely that you are pregnant so the first thing you need to do is STOP WORRYING that you are. There is no reason to fret over something that isn't even proven to be a possibility yet, you know?

Next thing is to take another pregnancy test in about a week if you haven't started your period (if you start your period, you ARE NOT PREGNANT). Take the test exactly like it says on the package - in the morning when the hcg hormone is the strongest.
