Q: How Can I "delay" My Period - Just One Time...?

I'm going on vacation in a week I'd like to "delay" my period. I got off birth control pills 6 months ago, and still have a few packs left.

I don't have time to start a month before and skip it that way.

I heard, that if I start the pill the day my period is DUE, that I can delay it and then stop taking the pill when I want to start.

Can I do this? I'd only be taking them for 5-7 days to delay it. Will it work?

Thank you Smile

Well, it might work. It might not. You really just have to try and see what happens. Usually it takes a few months of skipping to be 100% successful.

Oh- you should probably make sure your pills aren't expired--

Oh and I'm sure you know this but you won't be protected from pregnancy during that time.

Just in case.
